This is a very rare French M 1777 ANIX Flintlock Dragoon Musket, which bears a manufacture date of 1808 at the rear part of the 40 3 4" Barrel. The lock is very clearly marked : Lige Manufre Imple Today Lige is a major city in Belgium, but during the Napoleonic Wars it was not independent, and completely dominated by the French.
